Steve Alexander Detailed Information
Steve Alexander is a very skilled freediver/hunter. Alexander has done a
variety of things over his life-time including racing motorcycles and
doing high-performance work on their engines, but he is a mold maker by
trade. Alexander developed a cast trigger mechanism that featured it's own
cast housing then later developed low-profile speartips (including one
with dual floppers) and parts for do-it-yourselfers to make their own
spearguns. Alexander eventually developed an entire line of spearguns
including two enclosed track models.
Alexander may be the first to
make a fully enclosed track Teak speargun. He cut an enclosed track
directly into the teak wood then added a cast aluminum muzzle for
reinforcement and to hold the powerbands just below the shaft track.
His spearguns are machined to exacting specifications with a mill. All
his guns are made by Alexander himself. You can see his
product list. If you get a chance, drop by
his house to see his impressive collection of mounted fish (and butterflys).
